DIRECTOR BUSINESS OPERATIONS

For one of our clients – a FMCG company, we are looking for an experienced and driven professional for the mission of DIRECTOR BUSINESS OPERATIONS.

The Mission:
  • Overall leadership of the organization with responsibility for the company results, business development, strategic and operational planning, people development and motivation.
The Major Responsibilities include:
  • Ensure the business operates within the company’s mission statement and towards achieving its main business goals;
  • Manage all functional departments within the company structure;
  • Lead the organization in creating high performing teams – recruitment, management, motivation and development of company staff;
  • Maintain and unify business strategy and highly-efficient company culture;
  • Ensure financial targets and other agreed targets are met in all departments; Work with department heads and senior management to get the best performance from their employees;
  • Directly lead the business development, marketing and sales initiatives, projects, and provide strategic direction for the future development of the company’s revenue and business model;
  • Drive the business to increase profits;
  • Review working practices to ascertain if it is successful and if not, devise an alternative;
  • Recommend, develop and revise range of people and organization practices as required; Keep employees motivated and properly organize appropriate training and personal development plans;
  • Make sure all safety, legal and best practices guidelines are followed; Ensure the company follows and implements all certifications issued so far;
  • Investigate customer satisfaction and reporting any issues;
  • Work with external providers on operational matters i.e. legal consultants, accounting & financial advisory, etc.;
  • Review and approve equipment needs and investment plans;
  • Develop relationships and work with the foreign partners – both suppliers and strategic clients;
Experience required:
  • Relevant experience in a senior management role in FMCG environment i.e. Operations Director/COO, Commercial Director, Marketing Director, Managing Director, etc.;
  • Experience in an organization with local production operations will be considered a strong advantage;
  • Experience in leading Commercial and/or Marketing functions will be considered a strong advantage;
  • Experience in leading more than one department simultaneously will be considered a strong advantage;
  • Cross functional experience is preferred.
Qualifications:
  • University degree (preferably business-related);
  • Fluent in English language;
  • Excellent computer literacy – MS Office, ERP;
