PURCHASING SUPERVISOR

For one of our clients, Enco Vending – trade and marketing company whose main activities include: import, export, promotion and distribution of coffee and coffee-making equipment, we are looking for a driven professional for the mission of Purchasing Supervisor.

Responsibilities
  • Connects with company vendors, maintains and develops productive relationships with them
  • Builds, optimizes and manages the purchasing processes in the company, ensures the commitment of internal and external stakeholders;
  • Responsible for budgeting and administration of purchasing activities
  • Participates in the development of internal company policies and supply strategies and supports their implementation in practice
  • Organizes, manages and controls the overall activity of delivering goods and materials by type and quantity
  • Prepares market research and tracks the price fluctuations of the main commodities and raw materials. Runs regular discussions of price conditions with major suppliers
  • Proposes changes to contract terms for the supply of goods and materials. Responsible for initiating and following up liability claims for non-compliance to contractual obligations of suppliers
  • During marketing strategy definition, develops and proposes activities related to the supply and delivery of goods and materials
  • Research and identification of potential suppliers of goods and raw materials
  • Participates in the development of preferred suppliers list
Experience required
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in a purchasing role, preferably in a fast-moving consumer goods business
  • Experience in an international environment is preferred
  • Experience in setting up and continuous improvement of purchasing procedures would be a strong advantage
Qualification and Skills
  • University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or another relevant field is preferred
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to uphold company interests
  • Outstanding abilities to manage and develop relationships with partners
  • Capacity to maintain and develop relations with other departments and key stakeholders in the organization
  • Excellent knowledge of and practical experience with the relevant legal framework – tax, trade law, Incoterms etc.
  • Applied analytical and reporting skills related to purchasing activities and inventory management
  • Excellent knowledge of English language, both written and spoken
  • Proficiency in another foreign language would be considered an advantage
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel and Power Point)
  • Working knowledge of logistics software (ERP) or warehousing software
