BUSINESS UNIT HEAD

Our client is a leading pharmaceutical company looking for BUSINESS UNIT HEAD.

Responsibilities
  • Creating an agreed future vision and driving overall business expansion;
  • Delivering the committed financial targets for the respective business unit;
  • Recruitment, supervision and motivation of BU team;
  • Representing the company to various industry and healthcare working groups;
  • The creation and sign-off of an appropriate infrastructure to support business expansion;
  • The creation of the appropriate current/future brand portfolio in collaboration with regulatory affairs/medical colleagues;
  • Direction and performance management of the Field Sales team and tracking the execution of brand strategies and promotions;
  • To ensure an appropriate strategy is in place to leverage the emerging key account opportunity ensuring alignment on key strategic issues and rapid/excellent execution;
  • To ensure that all business initiatives fully comply with company’s regulations;
  • To ensure an effective compliant environment in accordance with the local legislation and company internal ethical standards and rules;
Skills/Experience required
  • Minimum 3-5 years management experience within pharmaceutical environments;
  • Demonstrable track record of creating/executing brand and channel strategies;
  • A combination of both marketing and channel management/trade-marketing;
  • Experienced negotiator, comfortable in building long term relationships with key customers;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • First-hand experience and a track record of success in registering/launching new Brands;
  • Excellent presenter, influencer, leader;
  • Very good written/spoken English;

  • A self-starter, able to work independently without close supervision;
  • High achievement drive, not willing to settle for average or „second best“;
  • High level of personal ‘Gravitas’ – able to defend their own position whilst retaining excellent relationships with superiors/peers/colleagues;
  • Ability to ‘zoom in, zoom out’. Simultaneously able to balance strategic thinking and excellent execution;
  • Resilient, durable, able to cope with simultaneous business tasks;
  • A strong team player;
